  • Sustainability and Climate Change

At Hulland CofE Primary School, we are committed to nurturing responsible, compassionate citizens who care for God’s creation and make a positive impact on the world. Guided by our Christian values, we believe that caring for the environment is a vital part of our mission.

In line with the Department for Education’s Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy, all schools must have a Climate Action Plan and a named Sustainability Lead by 2025. Our plan sets out how we will:

    • Reduce our environmental impact
    • Protect and enhance nature
    • Embed climate education across the curriculum

    🌱 Our Priorities

    • Reducing our carbon footprint
Through energy efficiency and sustainable travel choices

    • Protecting biodiversity
By enhancing our school grounds and creating welcoming spaces for nature

    • Building climate resilience
Supporting our school and wider community to adapt and thrive

    • Inspiring pupils
Through climate education, outdoor learning, and faith-based reflection on caring for creation

We believe that by living out our values and taking meaningful action, our children will grow up with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make a positive difference.
