A Small School with a Big Heart
Hulland CE Primary School is a small, nurturing community with an admission number of 12 pupils per year group. Our small class sizes allow teachers and staff to build strong relationships with each child, supporting their individual learning and wellbeing.
Starting School in September 2026
Children begin full-time education in the academic year in which they turn five, following Derbyshire Local Authority (LA) guidelines.

Admissions for Reception places are managed by Derbyshire County Council.

Age Range Consultation
We are seeking your views on a proposal to change our school’s age range from 5–11 years to 2–11 years. This change would allow us to offer early years provision alongside our existing primary education, creating a seamless learning journey for children from age 2 through to 11.
