A Church School

Welcome to Hulland Church of England Primary School

Hulland CE (Voluntary Controlled) Primary School is proud of its long-standing heritage as a Church of England school. Since 1863, we have been committed to serving our community by providing high-quality education within the context of Christian belief and practice.

We aim to nurture an understanding of faith and promote Christian values through the rich experiences we offer our pupils.

Our Church Foundation and Governors

We are supported by two foundation governors who represent the Church:

  • Reverend Phil Michell – actively involved in school life, leading collective worship and fostering strong links with Christ Church Parish.
  • Mr Russell Muir – our second foundation governor, who also supports the school’s Christian ethos.

Children regularly attend services at Christ Church to celebrate key Christian festivals such as ChristmasEaster, and Harvest.

Faith and Inclusivity

Our connection with the Church helps children become familiar with Christian worship, values, and traditions. At the same time, we embrace the diversity of beliefs and spiritualities in society.

We reassure parents that our curriculum and assemblies are not designed to convert pupils or promote specific beliefs. Instead, we encourage respectunderstanding, and curiosity about a wide range of faiths and worldviews.

Our Vision: Preparing the Way for Life in All Its Fullness

At Hulland School, we prepare children for a future in an ever-changing world through a curriculum rich in creativity and exploration, underpinned by Christian values.

We are an inclusive community where every child feels:

  • Valued
  • Safe
  • Special

Here, children love to learn and learn to love.
